1. Operator

GameGuessr is operated by the GameGuessr project team. Contact us through the Feedback page for privacy requests.

2. Data we process

• Steam account identifiers used for login (Steam ID, display name, avatar URL when provided)
• Room activity: display names, answers, scores, and match events needed to run multiplayer
• Feedback messages and optional reply email
• Session cookies, technical logs (IP, user agent) for security and abuse prevention
• Payment status and plan identifiers for VIP, without full card numbers (handled by the payment provider)

3. Why we process it

Data is used to provide login, rooms, scoring, VIP entitlements, support replies, security, and service improvement. We do not sell personal data.

4. Third parties

Steam / Valve is used for authentication. Payment providers process VIP checkout. Hosting and database providers store application data. Analytics tools may be added later; if so, this policy will be updated.

5. Cookies

Cookies keep locale preference and login session state. Disabling cookies may break login or language settings.

6. Retention and requests

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data via feedback, subject to identity checks and legal retention duties.

7. Changes

This policy may be updated as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced with reasonable notice when practical.
